Impacting nations with the gospel by building relationships through table fellowship.
Daily they met together...in one another's homes to celebrate communion.
They shared meals together with joyful hearts and tender humility. (Acts 2:46 TPT)
Antony & Shino Verner are classically trained musicians who love to share their life, love of Jesus and food with others. They met through a mutual friend and became social media friends. They never exchanged words until Antony reached out to meet up 5 years later. After 7 "dates" in 3 states, they entered into a long distance relationship with the intent to marry. 7 months later, God led them to move to Philadelphia from New Zealand (Antony) and New Jersey (Shino) to get married and start ministry together in Center City Philadelphia. Their son has served with them since 3 months old.
Cynthia, a lover of stories, pastries, and Jesus Christ, came to Philadelphia to learn more about making music on the viola at the Curtis Institute of Music. She has a powerful healing testimony where God healed her from a two-and-a-half-year battle with a music-related performance injury. She is dreaming with God about her next steps after college, and is excited to explore chamber music, teaching, and possible ideas for impacting her local community in Philadelphia.
Oaks Table Fellowship started in spring 2013 in the Verner living room in Center City, Philadelphia with high school and college-aged musicians. In December 2018 the Verners began discipleship with young adults in the Northern New Jersey area.
We are excited to see how God will lead this ministry into 2020.
